3^rd International Conference on Math­e­mat­i­cal Modeling in Mechanics and En­gi­neer­ing – ICME2026

September 10 - 12, 2026

The ICME conferences have already become an in­ter­na­tionally renowned and traditional gathering place for researchers from a broad field, primarily covering the application of mathematical modeling methods to problems in mechanics and engineering. More than 100 presentations, with several hundred authors from more than 20 countries worldwide, are registered to participate this year, including the candidates for the Academician Vladan Đorđević award to young researchers for contributions in fluid mechanics.

80 Years of the Mathematical Institute

May 15, 2026

The first meeting of the Institute's Committee took place on May 15, 1946, marking the beginning of the Institute’s work as an official unit of the Serbian Academy of Sciences. In recognition of this milestone, our Board later proclaimed May 15 as Mathematical Institute Day. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Institute, the Scientific Committee will hold a ceremonial session on May 15, 2026.

• PhD students: Milica Jovanović, Miroslav D. Maksimović, Milena Šošić, and Jelica Cincović,
• M.Sc. students: Vuk Simon Ovaskainen, Aleksandar Kolins, Pavle Vasiljević,
• Students: Aleksa Džukulevski, Aleksandar Stanković,
• Honorary Mention in the field of computing (M.Sc. students): Aleksandar Stefanović and Aleksandar Stojković.

The award ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
