Prof. Dr Stephan Klaus, a distinguished German mathematician and the director of Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach, is visiting MISANU from the 8th to the 14th of December 2024. Prof. Klaus is known worldwide for his contributions to algebraic topology and discrete differential geometry, his service to the mathematical community, and his popularization of science. He will give a mini-course, "Lectures on RX: On the forgotten definition of the homology of a space via the configuration space of charged particles" in the Institute.

The new issue (N.S.) 116 (130) of the journal Publications de l'Institut Mathématique has been published. It contains KOLIKO original scientific articles. Free access to the full text of the articles is available at the journal's website.

The academy on the occasion of the "Lifetime Achievement Award" of the Association of University Teachers and Scientists of Vojvodina was held on November 8, 2024 in the Ceremonial Hall of the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, under the auspices of the Provincial Government. This prestigious academic recognition for the year 2024 was awarded to Prof. Dr. Silvija Gilezan, Prof. Dr. Milica Medić Stojanoski and Prof. Dr. Radivoja Jevtić.

On November 8th at 12h in the hall 102 on the first floor of the Mathematical Institute there will be a promotion of the book "A Hidden Harmony: Mathematics and Music through the Ages" containing selected papers from our seminar Mathematics and Music.
The violinist Sonja Kalajić will perform several pieces on the violin and on the saw.
